Procurement Manager Technology

Role and Environment


As one of our Procurement Managers you leverage your acquisition expertise and knowledge of the market to be a valuable partner for ACTION’s Technology department. This role has global reach and will focus on all 12 markets. Technology is a centralized function with key stakeholders located in Company's HQ, Zwaagdijk-Oost – your office location as well. Travel is limited although it can be required on a case-by-case basis.

Day to day tasks:
  • Create a solid and trustful relationship with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Balance the business needs and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for categories to prioritize impact of procurement efforts.
  • Execute supplier and contract management for top suppliers.
  • Research and analyze the Market for potential solutions that fits for ACTION.
  • Conduct commercial and contractual negotiations.
  • Manage the tender process, acquisition of services and onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Actively manage the Ariba (SAP) solution within your category.

In addition:

 
  • Relevant HBO or academic background (finance, economics, procurement, business)
  • Minimum 4 years of working experience in similar roles, preferably on international scale
  • Experience with contract & vendor management, procurement software solutions (Ariba, Opentext, Scanmarket, etc)
  • Experience with managing spend between 50 and 200 Mio
  • Highly analytical, problem-solving, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Pro-active by nature with business acumen
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • You are a resident of the Netherlands


You are able to travel at least 2 times a week to the office in Zwaagdijk-Oost.
